Here at LS&C we take incense making very serious. We personally dip each stick in our very own fragrance and/or essential oil blends at a very high ratio for 24-36 hours. This is to ensure the oil blend penetrates the makko powder and is as strong and potent as possible, to provide you with incense that burns slow with very little smokiness and pure scent projection. Because hand dipped incense is created using high quality fragrance and/or essential oils they eventually weaken in strength as the incense is exposed to air in its packaging. To ensure that we give you the highest potential aroma possible we keep our inventory levels down so that our sticks are not sitting in the warehouse long while awaiting to be purchased.

  • Place your incense in an appropriate incense burner that will collect the ash as it burns. Light the pointy end of the incense stick until a flame is established. Allow it to burn for a few seconds to ensure it is properly lit. Gently extinguish by blowing or fanning out the flame. Your incense should glow red and a gentle wisp of smoke should be seen.
